Home Theater Lighting
 
Basic lighting suggestions:
 
1. Use light to separate room into zones of focus:

             
   
a. art(usually more than one zone)
b. home theater component area
c. perimeter lighting near or at walking level
d. general
e. task

      
2. Use different types of lighting in proper setting:

             
   
a. art-Low voltage or smaller high voltage fixtures with aiming capability
b. home theater component area- High voltage concentrated light
c. perimeter lighting- Low voltage flexible 'rope lighting'
d. general- High voltage recessed cans, large openings
e. task-undercounter flourescent or incandescent light.

      
3. Use dimming control with at least 4 zones, with remote control, and the ability to manually control with small, unobtrusive  keypads.
